2012scholarships

Student success: Aoraki Polytechnic students Nicola Thomson, Shelley Casey, Kara Steedman, Jillian Millington, Ashlee Quested and Olivia King receive Go Places scholarships to help with further study.

Twenty-four students have been awarded scholarships by Aoraki Polytechnic to help them with further study.

Students moving onto a higher level of study with the organisation received $1000 to assist with the cost of tuition fees for this year.

More than 40 students applied for scholarships through a written application and 21 were given to students from Timaru and Dunedin campuses.

A presentation was held on campus last week to congratulate the recipients.

Three Aoraki Leaders scholarships were also awarded to students going from the polytech to degree programmes at another tertiary provider in New Zealand, where a formal pathway exists between the two institutions.
