Aoraki Polytechnic welcomes International students to study one of a selection of its highly interesting and rewarding courses.
Aoraki Polytechnic has hosted International students for many years and its alumni recall not only the first-class programmes but also the friendliness, the support, the smaller classes, the facilities and the memorable experience that is ‘Study at Aoraki’.
Since 1998, Aoraki Polytechnic has worked internationally in association with Aoraki International College (AIC). AIC promotes Aoraki Polytechnic’s programmes overseas and manages the pastoral care of polytechnic international students prior to students’ arrival and once in New Zealand at its Timaru, Christchurch, Ashburton and Dunedin campuses.
AIC, with its Aoraki English Language Academy (AELA) and its support team for all international students, is on the campus of Aoraki Polytechnic. AIC provides a focused support team for Aoraki Polytechnic’s International students while many have joined the polytechnic familiar and comfortable with their environment after studying English with AELA.
Many international students from English speaking countries and those who have sufficiently improved their English, enter directly to polytechnic programmes. Students come from many different countries enriching the cultural life on campus.
Aoraki Polytechnic, with its wide range of internationally and nationally recognised courses, anticipates that students’ study and life experience here will be memorable and productive.
