Diploma in Fashion Design (Level 5)


This one-year diploma programme aims to prepare you for work in the Fashion Industry.

You are supported to develop practical skills in design, pattern making and construction with individual creativity and illustration. You will produce your own fashion range and collection with an understanding of fabric properties and how to maximize these for your designs. Figure analysis is also covered with the focus on solving pattern problems for individual fi tting of garments. Employers seek students capable of multi-tasking. You will gain skills in pattern drafting, grading, cutting, machining and fi nishing for in-house employment.

Diploma in Fashion Design (Level 6)


You will integrate your personal marketing styles and techniques to produce a collection of work ready for exhibition and showing. Higher level research and study is a requirement.

You will work on projects to develop advanced technical skills in garment construction. Bridal wear, evening wear, personalized styling, textiles and research of design concepts in the fashion world are all covered.

Diploma in Visual Arts & Design


This programme develops excellence and innovation in contemporary art and design practice and supports the contribution of visual arts and design to the cultural and economic development of the community. You may enter at Level 4 or you may gain direct entry to Level 5 if you meet specific entry criteria. When you successfully complete the Level 4 year you may leave the programme at that point with the Certificate in Visual Arts and Design (Level 4).

Diploma in Fine Arts (Level 6)


The aim of this programme is to enable you to develop the knowledge and skills required to develop a personal style and technique based on a philosophical understanding of fine arts. The programme includes:
• Implementing the disciplines of studio practice to produce a portfolio of your work
• Preparation of work for exhibitions to gain an understanding of professional practice requirements.

The Certificate in Introductory Art Studies is designed to introduce you to a range of artistic media. This leads on to the Certificate in Art Studies which enables you to continue building skills and knowledge in a range of artistic media allowing you to determine an area of focus for your artistic development.
