Hair, makeup, nails! Sound like the things you’re interested in? Express your creativity in the beauty field. Beauty Therapy can be studied at all of our campuses (Timaru, Christchurch, Ashburton, Oamaru, and Dunedin). Hairdressing can also be studied at our Timaru and Dunedin Campus. We also offer introductory beauty skills courses.
Internationally Recognised Qualifications Aoraki Polytechnic offers City & Guilds and International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) beauty qualifications. Both City & Guilds and ITEC qualifications are recognised internationally so provide great career opportunities for those working in the beauty industry.

Certificate in Beauty Treatments (Level 4)
incorporates the City & Guilds Diploma in Beauty Therapy
The purpose of this programme is to produce a high standard of
performance in a wide range of Beauty Therapy skills. A high degree of
practical work is involved and clinic days are held where you will work
with members of the public. Your practical skills will be assessed here
on campus, while the theory examinations are marked in the
United Kingdom.

If you have completed the Certificate in Beauty Treatments (or equivalent),
this is a great option to further your studies and gain an internationally recognised

hairdressers are challenged constantly to appreciate the latest fashion
trends and also to create them. You will be trained in the key skills and
knowledge needed to work in this vibrant industry.
