In todays fast moving world of communication and information technology many people struggle to keep up. SeniorNet offers the ideal learning environment for older adults (over the age of 55) to learn about computer software and programmes, sent e-mails or surf the net. If you would like to learn how to get the most from your computer, contact the SeniorNet group or Learning Centre near you.

Aoraki Polytechnic welcomes the opportunity to work with you to provide a joint education programme through SeniorNet.  Through the courses we jointly offer, we are able to provide foundation learning opportunities and skills that support and contribute to the government’s Tertiary Education Strategy and the values of our Charter.  SeniorNet courses give people in our community the opportunity to keep learning and to participate in our knowledge society.

Aoraki Polytechnic’s role with REPs and SeniorNet
Aoraki Polytechnic is accredited as a tertiary institution to offer a range of approved programmes and courses.  The accreditation and approval of a tertiary institution is based on Quality Management Systems (QMS) that are audited against academic quality standards.  The Regional Education Programmes that SeniorNet and Aoraki Polytechnic offer are guided by Aoraki Polytechnic’s Quality Management Systems and SeniorNet’s Constitution and individual group sets of rules and procedures.
