Food Safety and Liquor Licence

Food Safety Training Unit Standard 167 (Level 2 Credits 4) and Unit Standard 20666 (Level 2 Credits 2)
The Waitaki District Council advises all people working in a food business to hold Food Safety Unit standard 167 & 20666.  This course covers knowledge of basic food contamination hazards, prevention of cross contamination and a basic understanding of practices that result in safe food.

Liquor Licence Controller Unit Standards 4646 (Level 4 Credits 2) & 16705 (Level 4 Credits 3)
Incorporating the Sale of Liquor Act (1989) Managers Responsibilities.
This course contains the two unit standards required to apply for the LCQ Certificate, the first steps towards gaining the General Manager¡¦s Licence.

Swedish Massage

Students can learn about the art and science of massage in a professional situation using Swedish Massage disciplines.  Swedish massage has been shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness and circulation.  Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage.
