If you would like to ensure you have the knowledge and applied
skills to participate effectively in a business environment then
this qualification may be the right choice for you. This programme
can also help you achieve your promotion goals or teach you the
business practices required to own or manage a business.
We use applied business practices including group discussions
and presentations to ensure you have real business skills. You will
also have the opportunity to work alongside local business owners
helping them meet real business challenges.
Our programme is run on a flexible schedule that enables you to
work and study at the same time. You can direct your study to suit
your career requirements by choosing some optional papers. If you
are interested in further study you also may be able to
cross-credit your papers to a degree programme.
What will this programme cover?
The New Zealand Diploma in Business is a national qualification
comprising 12 papers. Papers offered cross credit to other business
qualifications. The Diploma may be studied full-time or part-time.
Each paper involves four hours of tuition per week with voluntary
workshops/tutorials each week.

What do you need to apply?
For entry to this diploma you need at least 50 credits at NCEA
Level 2 or above made up of at least 12 credits in each of three
subjects, at least 8 Literacy credits (selected from a schedule of
approved achievement standards and unit standards) in English or Te
Reo Maori - 4 credits in reading and 4 credits in writing. You will
also need to have a minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level one or
higher in Mathematics or Pangarau on the National Qualifications
Framework.
