This certificate is offered online allowing you to combine work and
study and gain the qualification from anywhere in New Zealand and
beyond.
The programme complements careers in the fields of architecture,
drafting, building and construction, interior and landscape design,
town planning, natural health and social work. You will gain the
skills to effectively utilise and implement ecological design and
construction ideas into your personal and commercial building
projects.
Led by quality, knowledgeable tutors this programme was
developed and is delivered in conjunction with the Building Biology
and Ecology Institute of New Zealand.
Ecological Building and design skills are in short supply. For
those already working in the architecture, drafting and
construction-related industries you will be able to incorporate
green solutions into your project with confidence.

What do you need to apply?
For entry to this certificate it is desirable you have a minimum
of 36 NCEA credits at Level 3, made up of 12 credits in a
'mathematics-rich' subject (Mathematics, Physics, Statistics,
Accounting), 12 credits in an 'English language rich' subject
(English, History, Art History, Classics, Geography, Economics) and
an additional 12 credits across any subjects, subject areas or
domains, including unit standards.
Alternatively you may gain entry by successfully completing a 60
credit (minimum) Level 4 tertiary qualification.
