Nau mai - Haere Mai ki Te Whare Poutama

Te Whare Poutama was established as a korowai (cloak) for all people of the polytechnic and manuhiri (visitors). Te Whare Poutama operates on the kaupapa of manaaki, tautoko, awhi, aroha which reflects the values of caring and sharing, support and understanding. The whare represents the polytechnic's commitment to the promotion of bi-culturalism. At Poutama the Mâori Liaison operates with an open door policy. An important link provided by the Mâori Liaison service is with the wider community Mâori.
