Youth Guarantee Scheme
The Youth Guarantee Scheme is aimed at providing 16 and 17 year
old New Zealand domestic students who are ready to move beyond
school but still want to study and learn practical skills with an
opportunity to participate in a range of vocational courses
free of tuition costs at Aoraki Polytechnic.
Applicants applying for the Youth Guarantee Scheme must be:
- A New Zealand citizen who is 16 or 17 years of age and not be
turning 18 years within three months of starting study
- Enrolling in full time study for a minimum of one year
- Wanting to learn practical skills
If you are successful in gaining a Youth Guarantee space you
will not be eligible for any financial assistance
from StudyLink including a student loan or living allowance.
Youth Guarantee spaces are limited so apply early to
reserve a place.

- Certificate in Automotive Heavy Engineering (Level 3)

Transport is available for students from Ashburton, Geraldine,
Oamaru and SH1 pick up points near Waimate to the Timaru Campus
* Aoraki Polytechnic reserves the right to alter programme
start dates or amend programme content as required. Commencement of
all programmes are subject to sufficient enrolments and gaining
internal and external approvals. Fees may also be subject to some
alteration prior to commencement of the programme.
